Myndsheer is pleased to provide Dele Oladapo with Business Development Services for Biographical Book Publishing.

Scope of Work:

  • Discovery & Planning
    Conduct intake interview with Dele; define project goals, audience, timeline, and budget; establish milestones and communication cadence
  • Secure Ghostwriter Author
    Determine ghostwriter criteria, perform a search, and schedule interviews with Dele and potential ghostwriters
  • Content Development Oversight
    Coordinate interviews, research, and source gathering; liaise between Dele and ghostwriter; manage review and approval cycles for drafts
  • Editorial Coordination
    Manage developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading phases; track revisions and maintain version control
  • Design & Layout Management
    Oversee interior book design and typesetting; coordinate cover design concepts, revisions, and final approval
  • Publishing Strategy
    Advise on publishing path (self-publish, hybrid, or traditional); manage ISBN registration, copyright filing, and Library of Congress cataloging as applicable
  • Print & Production
    Solicit and compare printer quotes; manage proof review and print-run approval; coordinate digital (eBook) formatting if required
  • Distribution Setup
    Set up retail distribution channels (Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, B & N Nook, Audiobook platforms, etc.); configure pricing and metadata
  • Launch Support
    Develop basic launch checklist; coordinate author copies, press release, and initial promotional assets
  • Closeout
    Deliver final files archive to client; provide post-launch performance summary and recommendations

What's Included in the Engagement Fee

Myndsheer's Engagement Fee of $14,400 (90 hours over 6 months) covers our project management, coordination, and advisory services across all ten phases above. This is the fee that governs everything we personally do: planning, vetting and managing your ghostwriter and other vendors, coordinating editorial and design work, reviewing drafts, and overseeing production through an early launch.

It does not include the fees charged by the third parties we coordinate on your behalf — your ghostwriter, editor(s), designer, printer, or any paid distribution/registration services. We solicit quotes, vet vendors, and manage that work throughout; the vendor cost itself is billed separately and always requires your advance written approval before we commit any spend on your behalf.

Client shall pay a retainer of $2,400 per month payable in 6-months from Aug '26 – Jan '27 covering a minimum of 15-hrs per month. The updated plan dated August 5 2026, gets us from Discovery through a design-ready manuscript within the 6-month retainer; printing, distribution, and launch may extend slightly beyond January depending on ghostwriter availability, their specific agreement, and Client's review turnaround. Myndsheer will flag any schedule extensions needed and seek Client's approval on any scope and cost changes.

Basic Terms & Conditions:

  1. This is a fixed-price retainer invoice for Myndsheer's project management, coordination, and advisory services related to Client's book publishing engagement. Work commences upon Client's initial payment. Installment payments are due at one-month intervals thereafter. The duration of the work is not dependent on the installment payment schedule; Myndsheer delivers work products based on the agreed project schedule and Client's acceptance of the work.
  2. Myndsheer shall complete the agreed Scope of Work according to the 6-month project schedule set out in the August 2026 Updated Proposal (August 2026 – January 2027), unless otherwise revised in writing by mutual agreement.
  3. Should Client fail to meet an installment payment as agreed, Myndsheer reserves the right to suspend project services until such time as Client resumes the installment payments.
  4. Scope of the Engagement Fee. The $14,400 Engagement Fee covers Myndsheer's project management, coordination, and advisory services only (90 hours over 6 months, per the Scope of Work). It does not include third-party production costs — including ghostwriter, editing, design, printing, registration (ISBN, copyright, Library of Congress), or distribution fees. Those costs are billed separately and require Client's advance written approval before being incurred.
  5. Ownership. Client retains sole and exclusive ownership of all intellectual property created for or arising from this engagement, including interviews, recordings, drafts, manuscript content, commissioned artwork, cover and interior design, and all final deliverables. All work is performed as work made for hire; to the extent any rights do not vest automatically in Client, the applicable vendor (including any ghostwriter, editor, or designer) shall assign such rights to Client upon final payment.
  6. Revisions. The engagement includes up to two (2) rounds of developmental-edit revisions and one (1) round of copyedit revisions on the full manuscript. Client feedback for each round is due within 10 business days of receiving draft materials. Additional revision rounds, or revisions requested after a phase has been approved, will be billed at Myndsheer's hourly rate of $160/hour or the relevant vendor's rate.
  7. Change orders. Work requested beyond the agreed Scope of Work (for example, additional print runs, format changes, or expanded distribution) will be quoted separately or billed at $160/hour, and requires Client's written approval before work begins.
  8. From time to time, Myndsheer may offer, and Client may request, additional services for which Myndsheer will provide a quote. If a referral discount applies, Myndsheer will honor it for the life of its relationship with Client.
  9. Project team. Les St Louis serves as Client's primary point of contact and engagement lead; Russell Washington supports vendor engagement budget and scheduling, including some brand strategy and business development. Any ghostwriter, editor, or designer engaged for the project will be introduced to Client, with samples and bios provided, prior to final selection.
  10. By accepting this Invoice/Agreement, Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
